Lead Product Designer with 13+ years of experience ranging from Apple Maps and the Play Store to early-stage start-ups, VMware, Space Force, and CDCR. In my career, I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing technologies, including ML/AI, VR, AR, AUTO, 3D mapping, satellite and medical imaging, voice analytics, low‑connectivity navigation, wearables, and of course mobile/desktop web and native apps.
For five years, I have taught the thesis class for the Master's in UX Design program at MICA and absolutely love it. I also used to coach high school water polo as well and teach people to swim.
I have led well over a dozen 0→1 products for both startups and enterprise organizations and was a partner at and acquired a software agency where the ROI on design was paramount. Budgets, business goals, clear communication & prioritization have been a critical part of my UX journey. This has led me to regularly wear a Product Manager hat & to gaining a deeper appreciation for collaboration and alignment with other team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
Currently, I explore AI tools every day. In a recent project, AI integration was considered as a potential solution for several user problems. The leadership decision was that AI integration would cost significantly more for little benefit. These types of conversations are critical to design & the world moving forward; I, for one, am excited to see what we all build next!
