Hi, my name is Marc

I’m a product designer with 10+ years’ experience ranging from Apple Maps, the Play Store, and VMWare, to early-stage startups. I use small, fast, focused tests and vision based research plans to reduce risk, and iterate toward the best version of the product.

I teach the (Masters) UX Capstone class at MICA, which has given me time to practice communicating, teaching, and creating "shared understanding."

Budgets, business, communication & ruthless prioritization have been critical to my UX journey & have helped me to consistently create outcomes that deliver measurable value. I have regularly been asked to wear a Product Manager hat and am comfortable in this role.

Whether using "AI" as tool or or designing "AI", trust in the output is necessary. Predictable outcomes allow for adoption.

My recent CDCR project "ARHU" received a California Government Innovation Summit award. That and other applications have led to amazing digital experiences for users, and substantial cost savings for the state & taxpayers.
